Stripping... and not in a magic mike kind of way
Just sat in the cab as Dan destroys the kitchen ceiling in a fit of one-screw-left-that-he-can't-find rage... while holding up the rest of the ceiling. I would help but I'm in pyjamas and slippers... bed time was a ball-ache and I'm tired.

Generally the stripping has been going really well, we've found some bits of water damage which need dealing with, we need to replace the shit wood and find any leaks and seal them.
So please forgive my lack of equestrian knowledge but the biggest pain in the arse to remove was the horizontal bar that... I presume you attach the horses too. or stops them from trying to drive the van? We will call it the horse barrier? This was so tough to get out but actually gave us our full experience of our living/bathroom/bedroom area with the kitchen and Robyn's room in the front.
We then tackled the enormous wooden re-enforcement where the naughty horse had kicked the wall, we were very pleased to see the damage was as described and not worse! This was a massive pain with over tightened dome heads that were rusty and spinning! At the same time we took the awning off which was waaaaay heavier than we thought... and a bit bigger to store in the garage.
Some of the areas of concern are...
floor around entrance rotten wood
lower half of door frame rotten wood
passenger bulkhead rotten wood
suspected leaky windows, kitchen, over cab
Positives though...
general body work inside looks good
living area roof looking good
Still to Investigate
internal wall?
floor not sure?
Its fair to say that the strip down has been a bit of a rollercoaster, and between full time jobs, and a 3 year old, social lives and a house to look after the going has been fairly slow. Some of the next steps are to strip out the cab and lift the floor from there we will be assessing the underside and resealing it. We also need to design Robyn's bed room as its heavy and we need to save as much weight as possible. We are aiming to hit the festival scene from late April next year.... aiming loosely. Finances will be a big driver here but who knows, time to start playing the lottery!
...Anyway this is our non-glamorous stripping gallery. Enjoy
